I’ve always believed that the smallest moments often become the ones we remember most. My hope is that these letters become something you look forward to finding in your mailbox,
a quiet pause in the middle of everyday life.
–Lauren, Scented Mood
What are the Letters?
Something meant to be savored, not skimmed. A monthly letter of personal stories, seasonal moments, and the little things I’m loving at the moment. These are personal, emotion-filled letters inspired by the season. The things I’m watching and reading, the scents around me, and the quiet moments that make up ordinary life. Each month, I share the little things that have caught my attention, stirred something in me, or simply made me stop and notice. Inviting you into that moment with me.
What’s Inside?
Once a month, I pour my favorite cup of coffee, Dunkin’ Original Blend Medium Roast, with Coffee Mate Peppermint Mocha creamer. Then, before the house wakes, I sit and write a thoughtful letter while things are peaceful and quiet. This time allows for a more heartfelt letter and vulnerability on a deeper level. I don’t know exactly where each month’s letter will take us. Sometimes it may be something I’ve been thinking about. Sometimes it may be something I’ve learned, something I’m working through, or simply something I want to share. I want these letters to feel like the kind of conversation you might have with someone you trust. Honest, thoughtful, and without needing to have everything figured out.
We include various forms of art and paper crafts in each month’s send which could be anything from stickers to an original artwork (4×6) print. Art is dying and we want to keep it’s beauty alive.
Every month, I’ll share a little Scent Story inspired by a fragrance, a memory, or a feeling. Sometimes it may be a scent you know well, and sometimes it may be one that takes you somewhere unexpected. These are little stories meant to be read slowly, savored for a moment, and perhaps remembered long after the letter is tucked away.
Although we vary the specific contents of your special monthly letter, some things are certain, and I will list them here.
- (1) Original Heartfelt Letter
- (2) Stickers (Larger 2″)
- A Few Smaller Stickers
- (1) Drink Inspiration Card
- (1) Thought Provoking Card (Writing Prompt)
- (1) Paper Craft: Origami, Bookmark, Paper Airplane, Etc. This is my little gift to you, it could varies but it will be good.
- (1) Scent Story
- (1) 4″ x 6″ Coloring Card
- Other seasonal goodies that rotate
I hope each month’s letter gives you a reason to slow down for a little while. To pour yourself something good, maybe light a candle, settle into a quiet corner, and enjoy a few moments that belong entirely to you.

There is something different about receiving a letter in the mail. It asks you to step away from the screen, put down the to-do list, and spend a few unhurried minutes with something that was made for you.
Maybe you’ll read your letter with your morning coffee before the kids wake up.
Maybe you’ll open it after everyone else has gone to bed.
Maybe you’ll tuck everything away until you have a quiet Saturday afternoon.
There is no right way to enjoy it.
Letters from Scented Mood is simply a monthly reminder that your time matters, too.

Please keep in mind that international delivery times can vary, and customs procedures may affect how long your letter takes to arrive.
Letters are mailed once a month according to the current month’s mailing schedule.
Because these are physical letters prepared and mailed with care, your letter may take a little time to travel to you, especially if you’re outside the United States.
The waiting is part of the charm, but we know it can also be difficult to wait for something you’re excited about.
We’ll always do our part to get your letter on its way.
Delivery times depend on where you live.
U.S. members will generally receive their letters sooner than international members. International delivery times can vary depending on the destination, postal service, customs, and other factors outside our control.
If you’re an international member, your letter may take a little longer, but we promise it’s worth the wait.
We want your letter to reach you.
If you believe your letter should have arrived but hasn’t, please contact us and we’ll help you figure out what happened.
International mail can occasionally take longer than expected, so we ask that you allow enough time for delivery before assuming your letter is lost.
USPS currently says 1st class mail takes 1-5 days but I know from writing my mom (who lives in another state) that it can take 10-14 days for domestic mail.
USPS First-Class International mail and packages do not have a guaranteed delivery timeframe, but they typically take 1 to 4 weeks (7 to 21 business days) to arrive.
Absolutely.
